    You probably won't see this but, I agree, customer service, OMI, GUI's all suck when compared to Garmin. All of these things are probably why Magellan took down their once public forum.  Probably self protection to keep all these short comings behind "closed" doors.

    Magellan YOU NEED TO MAKE THIS RIGHT!! WHY ARE YOU NOT RESPONDING TO THESE COMMENTS?!?! I swear I could wring my husbands neck for not researching this junk you peddle before jumping off the cliff and paying this much money for something that doesn't work!! And if he had researched this he would have seen how bad the customer service is. Magellan handles this by ignoring pleas for help and having literally no social media platforms to warn people on. We tell everyone we know to NEVER buy your junk. And the next step is- I think we need a class action lawsuit. This can't go on... $500 is alot of money to disregard. Now hu s is wanting to buy a Garmin. Well I'm NOT JUST CHOKING DOWN THIS LOSS!! THIS IS NOT RIGHT!!! Say SOMETHING Magellan!! Do SOMETHING!!

    Jamie, IMO your comments are spot on.  We purchased this POS on the recommendation of someone that had been using it and that it was the only platform using a "tablet" that could be easily read.  Didn't take me long to assess that the person that recommended it, didn't know what they were talking about and definitely didn't attempt to "really" use the device.  Not too long ago, on an FB page a person bought this model and the software build date was the same as my date.  Recommended they take the unit back to the supplier and never look at a Magellan device again.  Others have asked about this unit and I have personally recommended to look somewhere else if they wished to be satisfied with the unit and its performance.  The poor performance of this unit is most likely a key reason Magellan took down their public forums.  Don't want people helping people, let alone warning others off.  See you guys over on the Garmin Forums where we can share experiences with the unit, good bad and indifferent and one that actually WORKS.
