GPS was on for about 7 hours with about 2 hours of recording time when the unit rebooted itself. When the unit came back on and the map was selected the track and tracks we were on was not present. This reboot cost about 60 miles of trails and waypoints to be lost. This is the third time this has happened. The previous time it happened we were able to recover trail data.
I see on your website there appears to be a new version of software, listed below. I cannot ascertain the date of the software but the version appears to be different from what is on my unit. When I command the unit to search for updates the screen informs me that all are Updated or No Updates Needed. What is the current version? if the one below is the current version, why will my unit not perform the update?

The current software version of your device must be 4.50.0017 and release date is 2019.12.25.

For those that are or may be viewing or following this. Magellan suggested I delete and reload the current version of software. I performed this task. We recently did over 100 miles of trail while entering in waypoints and such and experienced no crashes during this event. Want to do a few more trips before saying it is good to go but for the moment, it appears to be working as expected.
