Types of Content.

When browsing the TRX basemap on TRX Trailhead, you'll see up to five different types of content based on your customized search options:

  • All Trails: every official TRX Trail loaded into the TRX basemap. These Trails vary in their source (e.g. United State Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, Owlshead GPS, etc.), but all official TRX Trails have been vetted and approved for safety.
  • Searched Trails: every Trail that matches your search (after entering search criteria at the top of the page and clicking Search). All other Trails still appear on the basemap, but Trails that are relevant to your search are highlighted in red.
  • Personal Tracks: every personal Track that you've recorded using your TRX7 or TRX mobile app. These Tracks are visible to you and can be edited at any time, but are not visible to other TRX users who view the TRX basemap.
  • User-Published Tracks: every personal Track that has been shared by a TRX user to the public basemap.
  • Searched Tracks: every User-Published Track that matches your search (after entering search criteria at the top of the page and clicking Search). All other Tracks still appear on the basemap, but Tracks that are relevant to your search are highlighted in red.
