would like to connect and control the GoPro from the TRX7. Use the TRX7 as a viewfinder and to start/stop recording or take photos to add to waypoints.6 votesplanned · AdminTim Jewell (Technical Writer and Marketing Specialist, Magellan GPS Navigation) responded
GoPro integration was planned in April of last year, but didn’t ultimately come to fruition. Please keep this forum on your radar as we continue to plan GoPro integration for a future software update; it’s in the cards, but we don’t have an official release date.
My first ride today at 10:00 am on my KLR 650 motorcycle. I still have lots to learn, but one thing I really worry about is the mirror-like finish on the screen! I kept looking at the screen and seeing my helmet reflecting back to me.
Much of the time, it was impossible to see the detail on the screen. Brightness was on full, by the way.
My 2015 BMW 1200 GSA had the Garmin BMW GPS navigator with a proper anti-glare coating that made the screen visible in any lighting condition. For me this deficiency might become a deal-braker.1 voteplanned · AdminTim Jewell (Technical Writer and Marketing Specialist, Magellan GPS Navigation) responded
We’re working on finding solutions for the screen glare issue, as this is an issue for other motorcyclists as well.
In the meantime, Boxwave has some excellent anti-glare screen covers designed for the TRX7 available on Amazon.
